HAMBURG | Lime Plaster Technique
Mineral lime surfaces forming part of a monolithic spatial sculpture
Mineral lime surfaces forming part of a monolithic spatial sculpture.
Created for the fireplace area of a Hamburg villa, this multi-layered lime plaster technique was specifically developed to support the restrained material and spatial character of the interior.
Compressed lime surfaces, finely balanced aggregates, and articulated transitions give the architectural volume a calm depth and an almost sculptural presence within the space.
Deliberately restrained brass elements structure individual planes, emphasise carefully crafted junctions, and connect materiality, light, and architecture into one coherent spatial composition.
